Scrap Tires Processing for Storage & Recycling – STPsr
Tires in general as a waste product are considered to be one of the most dangerous wastes that we produce (due to the high levels of petrol based ingredients used to make rubber for tires) and the size of OTR tires multiplies the danger to our ecology.
Recycling tires is not a new concept but before an OTR tire gets to a recycling plant it has to travel very far. shipping waste of this volume and weight makes it uneconomical to choose to do the right thing.
Higantis to address this is developing techniques to break apart an OTR tire without using any large equipment. These techniques are still in development, but they are giving the expected results. Manageable segments of an OTR tire cut up and piled ready for storage or shipping.
